For web use you should use 72 pixels and not 300 so your image doesn't look pixelated. This also helps with the download time of your image.As your creating your page make sure you review your page on several computers to make sure the image is clear and easy to see. Also the color on your page, make sure you don't use many color where your page may create to much noise, and try to leave some white space.
